About Us Choir shot

Our Approach

The Salt Lake Symphonic Choir has performed throughout the United States, Canada, Russia, and Armenia, and will celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2019.

Erin Pike Tall has been Artistic Director since 2009. In the time that she has worked with the choir, she has brought a refreshing vision, raising expectations for members and audiences alike. Today, with over 75 members, the choir regularly performs at the Temple Square Festival of Choirs and Libby Gardner Concert Hall, collaborates with professional instrumentalists, regional symphony orchestras and choirs, and has represented the Utah chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA).

The choir performs a variety of sacred and secular music from jazz and bluegrass to contemporary classical works such as the Utah premiere of Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living and recently-commissioned works from Michael Mills and Adam Holladay.
